A little pleasant surprise

The Commonwealth of Virginia is generally known as a strip club desert. The DC area is basically known as a lapdance wasteland, though i have yet to try the place in Springfield which gets decidely less than mixed reviews. At a meeting in Richmond tonight, after drinking with colleagues along Cary St, I decided to slip out, walk a couple blocks away to a white painted warehouse-like building on 15th St. Club Rouge charged an $11 dollar cover. The bar serves beer, wine and champagne. It sits just past the entrance. Girls and a couple lost customers congregate around the bar getting drinks, and guys make change for their tips. The dance floor is off to the right. It is a tight room, with some chairs around the stage and tall chairs and tables along the walls. The girls are between average and well above average, a mix of what look like "career strippers" and VCU college girls making extra money and having some fun. Most of the gals had rockin' bodies, some even with pretty faces and nice attitudes. The dollar tips to the stage bring the customer attention from the dancer (many bucks thrown by a few guys who look like regulars toward their favorite dancers). A couple gals would do a "thank you walk" after their dance to visit the guys who tipped them, but not all the gals. But many were really cute - one of the cutest was a lovely redhead named Carla, who approached me as I sat along the back wall. Very polite but cuddly, she moved somewhat quickly toward asking me to join her for a lap dance. Her gorgeousness ruled over my brain and she took me by the hand to the upstairs dance area. Laps in the couch area upstairs are no bargain - $100 for 10 min, $150 per 15, $200 for 20, no volume discount on the main menu. A room for 30 min is $300, but a "miniroom" for 20 min could be had for $200 the night (Thursday) that I was there, especially since it was after midnight and the crowds were dying down. You pay for dances at the register upfront. You can use a card but they add 10%, and you add a tip for the dancer upfront. A tip for the bouncer at the register typically runs $10, which you give the girl at the end of the session. Carla was a student who said she danced on occasion at the club,m and spent time on weekends up in DC organizing social justice protests. Kind of interesting, but I've given up understanding millennials. Instead, I enjoyed her full contact dance for about the 30 min or so we were allowed in the room (or at least as much as allowed without touching nipples or vagina). Carla was playful, sweet, sexy, and definitely recommended if you get a chance to come to the club. There were a couple other brunettes and a Latino gal with definite potential. Perhaps another time. They have a full menu, though I doubt a $6 NY strip steak is going to be as good as Morton's up the street. But if you can keep to one gal for your lapdance / private room experience, you can maximize pleasure while minimizing financial damage, which is pretty steep compared with clubs elsewhere in the country.
