Late Night Surprise

I decided to visit Cheeks after a long night with friends and hanging out in downtown St. Louis. I’ve been to Cheeks on various occasions, so I entered the club with limited expectations. In my experience, the club rarely has a rough crowd and most customers seem to have a good time. The cover was $7 but you also gained access to the sister club across the street. I headed straight to the bar and ordered a beer at a reasonable cost compared to many other clubs in the area. As I looked around, I didn’t see anything that immediately caught my eye. There was one dancer, slightly heavier than average, on the stage with 4-5 other dancers at different positions around the bar or sitting at the tables with lounge chairs. I felt like this would be a short visit until I saw a stunning brunette walk from the tables and take a seat at the bar. I immediately walked over to her and introduced myself. From the start of our conversation, I knew that I had made the right decision to visit Cheeks.

As we spoke, she never asked for me to buy her a drink or to do a private dance. She was an excellent conversationalist and seemed genuinely interested in what we talked about. When she took the stage, I immediately followed, and from there, we engaged in conversations regarding the VIP room. The VIP is $50 to the bar, and I assume, the dancer bases her prices on how many songs you would like. The VIP experience was great and I felt un-rushed during the entire period. Many of the others clubs may offer VIP rooms, but usually the manager/bartender is anxiously counting down and your ultimate experience within the VIP seems limited and unfulfilling. This was not the case at all for me. Afterwards, we continued our conversation and had a few more beers before I left.

Cheeks may have limited dancers at times, but they also house some of the best talent, most beautiful dancers I’ve seen on the north end of Washington Park. I will definitely be back to visit the stunning brunette.
