I decided to hit up Starz...

I decided to hit up Starz and King Henry (review to come). Without giving away too much about King Henry in this review, I would say Starz is basically the upscale version of King Henry as far as looks of the club and dancer quality.

First of all it must said that Starz is in the fucking hood. There are a lot of bad neighborhoods in LA, but Starz is definitely in one of the worst ones. I'd advise you not to walk in this area at night. I have no doubt drug deals, gangbanging, robbery all that shit happens in this neighborhood. That being said I'm only in this area to check out Starz, so I obviously drove here. The cover is 15 bucks and I got patted down.

I guess Starz is only open from 9pm to 2am. I arrived at 9:30, I was expecting it to be slow when I got there because it just opened, but believe it or not it was pretty busy. It's almost like there was a line of people waiting at 8:30, and then when it hit 9:00 they all went in. That's what it felt like inside. The place was hopping. For being in such a bad neighborhood, I was impressed by the looks of the club. Nice looking place. I had expected all the clientele to be black, but there were some white guys and Latinos mixed in. All the strippers were black, along with all the waitresses and bartenders.
