Fun time, more of a laid-back feel
It's just a different vibe at CenterFold than you will get at almost all the other Detroit clubs. A bit more laid back and no pushiness on the part of bartenders/wait staff. Parking is very cheap, just two bucks. Closed, fenced-in lot. Cover is $5, again pretty affordable compared to other 8-Mile type clubs. I also got a couple of "free entry" cards from the owner for my next few visits. Thought that was pretty cool, even if it is just a $5 savings essentially. Took a seat right near the stage. Again, not an extra cost to have such a quality view. Tipped two or three dancers, but really was not super-into a VIP trip. Plus, the VIP here is kinda weird. It used to be downstairs, then it got moved to these little booths upstairs, and now it is back to this one-room-for-all setup downstairs. No privacy, so I'd say extras are not to be found here. It's nice when that is an option at most clubs, but with this setup, I can't see how that would even be possible. Plus I have heard that this place has been raided in the past, so maybe that is why they tend to keep things more out in the open and less private now. I will probably be back, but if trying to reallllly leave a happy man, I would probably find somehwere else to go.
