Changes since last October

Well, I went back for my biannual visit to Cabaret North. I was there on a Saturday night, and the place was hopping pretty good. There have been some changes since last October. The uncomfortable bench seats north of the bar where they had been giving downstairs lap dances (on your right as you come in the door), were completely removed. Gone without a trace. Instead, the downstairs lap dance area was in a semi-private room just west of the main stage. It costs $20.00 for a wristband, but once you plunk down for that, you can keep going back to the lap dance area as often as you want. The seats are deep and comfortable, and a HUGE improvement over the uncomfortable bench seats that had been behind the bar. I got a couple of reasonably high mileage lap dances in there from a fake blonde with big tits whose name I do not remember.

There was some good talent going through the stations (five in all, U-shaped with the main stage at the bottom of the U), but they never seemed to be on the floor once they finished the stations. I was told by the girl who gave me the lap dances that upstairs was $250, or a high-end bottle (at least $200), plus whatever the girl charged. But despite the high cost, there was a small army upstairs, frequently throwing dollar bills from a balcony onto the dancers as they cycled through the pole station nearest the door. There were also an awful lot of male bouncers/managers. It seemed like about one for every ten customers; I was approached three times by male managers who asked me how I was doing. It was a little creepy. I think these guys were also procuring for the customers upstairs, which is why the good talent never seemed to work the floor downstairs--as soon as they finished their rotation through the pole stations, some male manager would come along and whisk them away, usually to take them upstairs.

I get the feeling that there are trying to cater to the high end customer, but the place really should be more fun for the average joe. It certainly was when i first went there 14 months ago.
