Just went in out of curiosity . . .
Thought I'd walk into Scores and see what was going on, partly out of curiosity, and partly because I have a VIP card that I've never used (read my last review of this worthless place and you'll find out how I got it). Anyway, it was dead on a Thursday night. Like embarrassingly slow and dead. Like the owners have allowed a golden investment to turn into rust type of dead. When I walked in two dancers almost tripped over each other trying to get to me first. But all I wanted was to have a couple beers and see if this club (which under previous ownership wasn't half bad) is still on a downhill trajectory. And it is. The manager who was rude to me last time was there. He gave me some dirty looks, and then stood right between where I was sitting and the door. When I got up to leave he told me to have a good night, and he said this in a pompous and exaggerated tone of voice. I'm not sure what this guy has to be pompous about. The club is in a great location and used to have a steady clientele. And this dude hasn't done anything for the place other than drive it into the ground. I went to Kahoots afterward. It was happening!
When I see girls from Scores now working at other clubs (this seems to be a trend) they all have bad things to say about the new ownership. Apparently they've implemented some high pressure sales tactics to try and scrape even more money out of people who are already willing to drop $300 on the VIP room (Kahoots is less expensive and a better time). Shit like this isn't going to cut it in Columbus. People here will spend money on a good product, but we're also smart and we don't just give our money away. Scores doesn't seem to understand this . . . and that's why they're dead while other clubs are making bank.
