Semi-dismal experience

Returned to Club Fantasy after about 2 months being away. I try to get there about 9 PM to check out the girls coming in for the 10 PM shift. For some reason 10 o'clock is the cut off time set by management for the girls to appear. The shift ends at 2 AM. I watched as hostess after hostess appeared. It seems as if they have been doing some hiring since last time. However, in my opinion, the quality of the girls is down, down, down. Nothing at all like the good old days. The girls were either fugly or chunky. You'd think that they were showing up for a lady-wrestling match or for roller derby. Not my type at all. I was ready to chuck it in, when I spotted a girl I had danced with a couple times before. Cute, young, slender. I remember her as a bit stand-offish. But I decided to take a chance. I spent most of the time, whether dancing or sitting, listening to her tell her sad story. No sparks really. Toward the end, though, she became a little more congenial, and just before I left she rewarded me with a very nice kiss. Maybe it takes a while to get to know this girl. Anyway, the night was not a total waste, just mostly.
