Lazy Saturday at Creekside

I was in the area running some errands so I figured I'd try a club I'd never been to. This place is an interesting spot that seems both classy and trashy at the same time. Very easy to get to down a small road off 309, it has plenty of well lit parking. You get inside and the lobby is pretty swanky. The cover was $10, I was there about 9pm. Then you walk into the club which is in what looks like a large warehouse with very high ceilings and a huge stage that runs out into the middle of the space from the far end and a staircase. The bar is under a huge projection screen and set up so you sit away from the stage. I imagine if you sit there you could maybe even forget that you are at a strip club, especially since the dollar parade is far away. There are seats around the rim of the stage, which actually has a moat between your bar and the stage where the dancers walk after their set. Then there are lounge seats around tables set about 15 feet from the stage area and high tops along the walls and closer to the bar. I sat in the lounge chairs and tables section which while comfy was a bit annoying (I'll explain why).

The girls were generally pretty cute, I'd say 5-8. They came down the stairs and danced at the different poles for 3 songs. When I was there it wasn't very busy and there was just one girl on stage at a time, I can imagine though that when busier it be more of a show on stage. With just one girl though on such a large stage the place seemed boring and sleepy. Not that you could possibly relax with some of the loudest and worst club music I've heard. It wasn't just like pop hits or standard strip club jams, it was more techno-y with we noises spliced in just to keep you off-kilter. Still I tried to ease into the night with a massage from a very cute girl who was walking around offering them from $20. Not the best use of money at a club, but I was seeing very little to keep me occupied and it wasn't bad. Back to the dancing, with the weird music each song seemed to last forever so each girl was on stage for a while. When they did finally finish they walked the moat around the huge stage for tips. This is where the lounge seats got weird. Even though you weren't sitting at the stage the girl would stop at the closest point in the moat and wait for you to get up and walk over to tip her. It was a bit annoying. I'd rather you come around after your moat-walk and collect a buck or 3. Hell, maybe you'd hang out a bit and we'd get a dance instead of me getting up from my drink and cig and walking over there for one buck. Oh well, never got a dance this night.'

Generally, I'm willing to give this place another try, but I'm gonna do it at a busier time when there are more girls on stage and more excitement. I'll also sit at the stage rail so I can both see the show and tip in peace.
