HJ's only...

This review is from a middle aged gringo with no spanish at all. As other reviews have said there is easy paid parking outside... but be sure to ask when they close sometimes it is as early as 10pm. Also the hours are wrong on this page, some nights they do not open until 6pm and be aware pretty much everything legit in this neighborhood closes at 6pm because it is basically right next to skid row. There is a decent public market right next to it to grab dinner at before going in that also closes at 6pm. This is a very bad area I would stick to parking, maybe the public market, and walking in.

The dress code is strictly enforced, and security are dicks. No shorts, or open toed shoes allowed without socks, even men's dress sandals are not allowed. If you are reading this without socks right now... you can buy some in the basement of the public market cheap. I like to go commando in dark microfiber slacks and a button up shirt (easy access).

The cover charge is $10. Water is $4.50 a bottle. Once you are inside it is dimly lit of course, the girls are sitting straight ahead and to your left. There are usually 5-10. I have found the one's showing the most put out the most... Ask them to dance. As another reviewer put it, put your hands everywhere, the more she pushes aways the less fun she will be later. After a single dance if I like her, I ask her to sit down, and she will lead you to some booths that used to be leather but are now mostly duct tape... You will have a few minutes to talk and grope now, make the most of it; within 10 minutes the bartender will come by and tell you to buy a drink for the lady... If she is not putting out as much as you like at this point get out now. The drink will be $10. You are better off cutting your loses here and picking out someone new. You can also use the Bartender to track your time because she comes by once an hour after the first drink.
