I have been to the Ritz a number of times

I have been to the Ritz a number of times. Each time I go I wonder why I bother. The Ritz is within Baltimore City but is not on the "block". It is in a gentrified area - Fells Point.

The crowd on this evening was somewhat thuggish. There definitely seems to be a group of regulars who look pretty sketchy, maybe gangish. The dancers are reasonably attractive and diverse (african american, caucasion, even an asian). However, they seem pretty unenthusiastic and the dances I had were uninspiring, with severe limitations and firm boundaries. Both dancers implied better mileage than was provided and this was in the VIP area. The lay out of the club is also odd. The club is long and narrow with a stage on one side of the room. If you are not stage side, people are constantly passing in front of you to go to the rest room or upstairs to the VIP area where you can sit and look down upon the stage. I do not find that very comfortable.

Overall, this is an ok place to go for a couple of beers (drinks are very expensive) with a friend but not a place to go for hands on action.
