Sometimes it doesn't work every time.

Criket is my usual club and the dayshift knows me pretty well. At least that is what I thought. There is free parking and no entry fee at 5:oopm when I got there. No charge for the booth. I thought I would have dinner and wait for the night shift as I have met most of the day shift already. There were about fifteen girls there at 5:00 and I did not recognize all of them. One thing about the Criket is different days have different dancers. Some girls I know dropped by to chat but I had my eye on one thin white girl who was bopping around the room and dancing to her own private sound track. She went in the back towards the end of her shift and then came out to the stage one last time. I tipped her $20.00 on stage ( I know) and she got of the stage and left without even saying hello! This was new to me here. $5.00 usually gets some attention. I don't know if she had to leave or just thought I was a cop but she missed out on my big night as I had intended a 2-300 dance with her. My steak was good and well prepared and I waited for the night shift. The first two showed up and had their fans but not my type. The third one was knda' cute (big bolt ons) and a pouty face.I tipped her and she came over and we chatted for a bit and then off to the VIP. My usual approach is to tell the girl what I will spend and then let her earn it as she sees fit. This has always worked before and maintains some dignity in an otherwise grubby negotiation. Bad move- She preceded to grind me hard for 7 songs and that was I pulled the plug. Once again I don't know if she though I was a cop or not but $250 usually yields results at the Criket. I gave up after this and went to Bogart's where I l asted about ten minutes and had to leave. Too much smoke and no dancers. Using the free pass I got at Bogarts I went over to Henry VII and they were having $10.00 dance night. Lots of girls but nobody cute or sober . Having started out with over $450.00 on me I though I would have a fun evening. I used to be good at this. Hope I am not losing my touch. Worst part is grinder girl was wearing vanilla perfume and I still stink of it a day after. Amateurs!
