Pretty depressing and kinda gross

I've been to a couple of clubs in DC, and Royal Palace is so far my least favorite. Immediately upon entering the door, some sort of septic odor assaults you. It would be one thing if this was confined to the restroom, but it is throughout the whole of the building. The choices of beer are pretty limited, but the worst part is that few of the dancers seemed to care much about their appearance. There were about 6 dancers the night I was last there, albeit fairly early in the evening, but several of these were overweight and few were truly attractive, but seemed to try to make up for that by being perfectly willing to grind their vag a foot away from your face if you approached the stage. There was one dancer who stood out, a thin Russian blonde who was a good dancer, was quite attractive, and also seemed polite and engaging when she stopped by my table. I was seriously confused what she was doing in a club like Royal Palace.

The upshot: If you like true dive joints, this is the place for you. If you care in any way about getting tetanus, diphtheria, etc., then I'd go elsewhere.
