What a loss

My last trip to Vegas I was all excited to hit up LD's again. It has been one of my favorite places every time I'm in town and I was taking a buddy for the first time. After talking up what a great club it was, we showed up and there were only 2 girls working. My buddy needed some rest after the night before so he took a nap in the car while I went on in. They didn't charge me a cover because it was early, and they knew I would want it back after walking in. One other old guy was there and I think he was sleeping like my buddy. Anyway, after an hour or so of just hanging out with no dancers on stage and the 2 that were there ignoring me, I spoke with the manager. He said it was a rough afternoon, but more girls should be coming soon. After that my buddy texted saying he was trying to come in but they wanted a $30 cover. I went to the front and mentioned I had been speaking to the manager about what a sorry lineup there was and no one, dancers or customers, were really there. There was no way he was going to pay that cover and I would go ahead and take off too (at this point I had got a 3 song set from one of the dancers.) The let him in for free, but we decided to leave about 20 minutes later. The manager gave us a card for free cover that night, but the scene wasn't much better even at midnight. I hope this excellent club isn't now one to mark off the list like so many in LV.
