LEFT ON PRINCIPLE OVER COVER CHARGE

This will be a short review. Had spent some time up the road at Hollywood on a recent Fri afternoon. Decided to stop by here on a whim afterwards since I still had a wad of cash in my pocket to spend on a hot dancer if I could find one. Now I've been to Hollywood on many afternoons and it's usually fairly empty. The cover has been anywhere from 0 to $2. Maybe I just got lucky before, I don't know. But on this Friday I walked in, there was no one at the cover charge desk, the doors to the main room were wide open and I walked straight up to the bar. The place was fairly empty, as usual. Before I sat down the bartender, who has pleasantly served me in the past, stated $7 cover. I was in shock. I thought she was joking and I said something like "Really, $7?" And she said "yep". So I said "That's alright", turned around and left just on principle. She said "bye" with no surprise that I was leaving. I think it must happen a lot. I mean, seriously? $7 on a dead Fri mid-afternoon? $7 means nothing to me but I won't be intentionally ripped off. Hopefully this was a one time occurrence as Hustler in one of the more convenient clubs for me besides Hollywood. Or maybe the cover has gone up, at least on a Fri afternoon.
