I went to Club 390 on a Saturday evening after 22:00 and stayed until 03:00. The club is located in an industrial area of Chicago Heights. Upon entering, the club’s security searches you with a wand for weapons. (Remember to leave your gat in the car.) The music leans towards hip hop and EDM. Rock tracks were rare, but to the DJ’s credit, he did play a song I requested. The ATM charges an $8 transaction fee, but has a withdrawal limit of $300 per transaction. A Sincweiser was $4. A shot of Don Julio tequila was $9. The bartenders and waitresses were mostly good looking. If you need singles, you can’t get them from a waitress. You have to get them from one of the club’s hosts/bouncers standing around the floor. The club was packed when I arrived with my entourage. There was no available seating except for the chairs right at the stage. One thing I noticed was that 90% of the guys just lounge from afar and nurse beers. It was very much a cheap crowd, but then again Crook County taxes keep everyone broke. Most of the time, my group was the only one’s steady tipping the stage.

The middle of the club is a thirty foot long stage with two pole positions. Dancers would dance on stage for two songs, one song at each pole. Then they would go to a smaller satellite stage and dance a third song. Not all of the dancers would get completely naked; some left their thongs on. There is a good mix of body types and ethnicities at Club 390. The line-up was an almost equal split of Caucasian, African-American, and Hispanic dancers. I think there was one Chinese/Korean dancer as well. Most dancers were skinning and in shape, but there were a couple outliers that I’d classify as average or too curvy for my undisclosed desires. Lap dances are $20 per song for topless and $30 per song for fully nude. A tally is kept by a club employee at the entrance to the lap dance area. This sounds like it could be a good thing because it prevents dancers from over counting, but it does not prevent the club employee from over counting. See my next paragraph for more on this. On weekdays before 18:00, topless lap dances are only $10 per song and nude lap dances are only $20 per song. I did not see the club summoning an all skate and then making the dancers do dollar dances like on my last visit eighteen months ago.

I got six topless lap dances from a silicone Mexican dancer. Two-way contact was excellent. Privacy is minimal; the only thing blocking the view into the booths is hanging beads. I paid her $120 after the sixth song. On the way out of the lap dance corridor, the dancers have to pay the club employee $5 of every $20 lap dance they do. The kid at the desk claimed we did seven dances. I was pissed because he was likely counting the song playing when we walked into the lap dance area, which was already half over. The dancer did not even start dancing until the next full song. This is ridiculous that you get charged for a song that is already half over while you are trying to take stuff out of your pockets and the dancer is getting situated. The guy who did this is about 5’5” and has earrings, so keep an eye out for this punk. The dancer made up for it by sitting on my lap and allowing me to grope her for a few songs back on the floor.
