Convenient, works for what it is

Being the only club in center city proper, Gold Club gets a pass on the cramped layout. That said, the space itself offers ample seating and solid views of the stage. Bathrooms are fine, not disgusting but not pristine either. Cocktail waitresses are attentive and friendly. There is usually a mixed crowd of clear regulars and office types just stopping in. Overall the club isn't overly sketchy and it feels controlled and comfortable.

Dancers, like most clubs, are a mixed bag. Some better than others obviously. Lap dances are going rate for the area (20 semi private, 30 private) but the VIP is pretty reasonably priced at 250 for 30 minutes. Dancers do the typical main stage couple songs and then make the rounds soliciting tips. A dollar will usually get them to move on. Private dance areas are actually pretty decent, good space and curtains provide above average privacy. I didn't notice a difference between the private dance area and VIP rooms - I think they are used interchangeably, but the spaces work for both functions. Dancers vary greatly in attitude and level of accommodation offered. As is typical, most will make their intentions known in the main area but some will mislead a bit to get you to pony up for dances.

Overall this club works for what and where it is. There are better clubs in the area but most are outside the city and sketchier. I have been a few times in the past year or so and will likely find my way back in at some point soon.
