Popped in a couple of times the last few months just to hang out and relax so this review is long overdue.

The vibe in the remodeled setting is much better than in the past, but then again the "old" Sands had a certain familiarity that is no somewhat lacking. Being a familiar face helped ease some of the "buy me a drink" pressure, but the dancers still have to hit their target for the night or they have to pay up. It's a bum deal as they also are required to pay "house" which is not an insignificant amount. Management's rationale is that the Sand's is the only place where the dancers charge $40 per dance in the VIP.

I was fortunate to see dancer named I**** on each of the nights I was there. Simply gorgeous. Otherwise, the regulars were their working hard for the money. I have to mention that the last time I was there, Leah was having a tough night. One of her Dad's friends had recently passed away and she was having a tough time dealing with it. There were also some issues regarding some of the other dancers. The 'business' can be really 'dog eat dog.' She really has a good heart and deserves better. I hope that in the New Year the management does upgrade the talent at the Sands.
