Nice Little Bar with Dancers

Apparently DC is a difficult town for these kinds of clubs. I had never visited a club in the area and didn't know what to expect. To be honest, from the outside I wasn't even sure this was a club when I stopped in for a drink. The exterior doesn't really tell you what you are walking into because, according to the bartender, they are restricted from advertising the nature of the business. So you approach the building and see a big wooden exterior with a nice look almost like an upscale old saloon. You get a few steps in the door and are carded by a bouncer. They are friendly enough and quickly explain the local rules. Then they explain them again. They are serious and make that clear. The bouncer wasn't a jerk, just kept a level and serious tone to ensure you knew he meant what he said. If you are going to this bar, understand the rules and follow them. Don't get rude with the bouncer because he is doing his job. Not only is that a poor way to start your evening but you will never truly be out of arms reach while you are here.

The club is small. In fact, it isn't really a club. There is room to walk past the stages, bar, and tables but that is about it. Very narrow space. To some extent, the shape being narrow is a big advantage since that puts everyone close to the stages without actually being at the stage. There are not a ton of seats and there is nothing plush about them. If there weren't girls dancing on platforms, this would be a common setup for a local dive/sports bar. They, however, have upgraded the entertainment at Good Guys. The girls on hand were very attractive. They were also very friendly. They talked and joked with customers and were happy to pull up a seat if that is what you are looking for but hands to yourself. I sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and quick to refill but not pushy. I had 3 drinks, gave some tips, and had a nice relaxing time. There is no pushy sales pitch (or any benefits that may or may not be available elsewhere) or roaming bouncers. The bar and the restroom were both clean. This would be a comfortable place for someone who is nervous about going to a club but not good for someone look to make it rain.
