Somewhat disappointing visit to FC.

It was a slow evening at the Fight Club (FC)-- probably 8 dancers and maybe 8-10 customers. Two constants were obvious at FC: service at the bar was slow and the dancers do NOT do a good job circulating on the main floor, preferring instead to smoke at the upstairs bar or hang out in the dressing room. No wonder the vibe was pretty tame and the customer base was sparse.

Talked briefly with a very attractive brunette with lots of body art when she was on stage. I invited her to join me; she said yes. Well-- she disappeared after her stage set and did not join me, at least for the 10-15 minutes that I waited before making a trip to the rest room. When I ran into her later, she claimed to have looked for me but without success. She was very tempting but her private dance menu was pretty limited. Three of the dancers were too thick for my taste. This seems to be a pattern at FC-- they seem to have relaxed their hiring standards and no longer feature a consistent line up of "in shape" dancers but a mixed collection, some attractive but others, not so much (at least for those who prefer slender women over thicker women).

I watched several other dancers perform on stage-- they perform three song sets. The songs are not cut in length, like they are in some clubs. This is great if you're paying by the song for a private dance-- it increases the time and value. But it does have a minor downside-- each dancer is on stage for three songs, often time nearly 15 minutes before rotating off the stage. This means that you have to invest a large amount of time to see the full rotation of dancers on stage. This would not be a problem at a club where the dancers circulated around the club (especially the downstairs area where most of the non-smoking patrons hang out) but at FC, many of the dancers disappear to the dressing room, or "hide out" at the upstairs bar where smoking is allowed. The effect is that it takes a while to see the full selection of dancers who are working during a shift.
