TD's summary
There are four clubs in Albuquerque and they all have their pluses and minuses. Overall, if you are new to clubbing, or to town, or just passing through, I think you will have the best time at TD’s North. It is a clean club, as safe as clubs ever are, in a nice area of town, the dancers are for the most part attractive, and the cost is reasonable for a strip club. There is no cover during the day. The cover after 5:00PM is $8, but there is a coupon on there web page for free admission. I usually go during the day and occasionally on weekend days, so this review reflects that.
There is valet parking, but it shares the same lot as regular parking, so there is no advantage to the valet. When you enter, you will be wanded and asked for your ID, which will be scanned. The scans are to verify ID, which New Mexico is very strict about. They keep the scans for a short while in case there is trouble, like a fight or someone who may seem like he is reluctant to pay his credit card bill, but I was told that if there is no trouble, most of the scans get flushed after 24 hours.
After the wanding and ID check the hostess will take your cover charge and ask if you want a drink. She will sell bottled beer and water for a bit less than on the floor, so if you want to save a quarter or two, or want to get right down to drinking, buy it from her. Like all bars that serve food in New Mexico, there is no smoking. They serve food, which is good, not great, but the food price is cheap and they have specials everyday. So TD’s is a great place to hit for lunch. The wait staff is usually efficient and pleasant to interact with though. There is supposedly a two drink minimum, but I have never seen it enforced. If you are tipping the dancers and buying table or VIP dances, they will ignore the minimum.
