sinclair's Review
I went to the Top Hat Lounge about 20:20 on a Tuesday evening. The Top Hat Lounge is basically a dive bar with strippers. It looks like a big gray house from the outside and is situated next to a used car dealer. There was no cover to enter. The center of the room is occupied by a U-shaped bar. On the far side is a slightly elevated stage with a pole. There is a tip rail with seats if you want to tip the stage. Lap dances are done in one of two booths in the corner of the club for $20. A Sincweiser from an unattractive bartender was $3.50. The clientele is mostly blue collar white men with a few Mexicans thrown in. The men’s bathroom is tiny and can only accommodate one pisser at a time.
There were five dancers on shift: Bambi, Vixen, Aphrodite, Selena, and Sugar. None of the dancers were better than a six on my scale, and I was even leery to get dances from the six because she looked like she was still in high school. Aphrodite looked to be very old, like late forties. Bambi and Selena looked to be Hispanic. The dancers pick music to dance to on a TouchTunes jukebox; there is no disc jockey. The dancers do three song sets, eventually getting nude. The dancers do a tip walk after they get off stage. There is a slogan on the outside of the building, “Nobody, but nobody, tops the Top Hat.” I found that pretty funny because the club is not much more than hangout for the local working class trash. I would only return if I was working in the area and really bored.
