Scarlett's

Was driving into Tampa from Orlando recently and decided to detour into Ybor for a visit to Scarlett’s. I arrived about 3:30 in the afternoon. As I pulled into the parking lot I saw a very busty brunette exiting the building in jeans and a t-shirt and get into a truck and leave. A cute, slender girl at the door took my $10 cover and explained that this was a no alcohol club and that there was a one $5 soft-drink or water minimum. Inside there were only four or five guys and the same number of dancers. I saw one thickish, mid to late thirties blonde Latina and a fortyish spinner standing around. There was a younger, twenties looking AA and a younger Caucasian sitting with customers. I would rate them between 4 and 6, the younger ones were maybe 7s. I took a seat the bar and ordered my soft drink. I was approached immediately by the fourtyish spinner, who it turned out was from Bulgaria. She explained how the club works--$10 club fee to use the private dance booths, plus $20 for the dances. She gave me a tour of the champagne rooms in the back, which were quite large and looked pretty nice. I think she said they were $200 for a half-hour or $400 for an hour, or something like that, plus whatever arrangements you make with the girl. I wasn’t interested in that, or this particular girl, at all so I turned down her dance offers. I sat at the stage for a while to get a better look. The girls got close and spread wide to show appreciation for tips. While I was sitting stage side the busty brunette I had seen leaving came back, changed into stripper uniform, and went on stage. She didn’t look as good up close as she did from a distance. After a while I went back to the bar was approached pretty quickly by the thickish Latina. She was a little heavy set for my taste, but not fat, and had some decent fake tits. She made the same offer as the Bulgarian ($20 dances) and promised a good time without being specific. The two younger spinners were still tied up with customers and I had limited time, so I decided to give it a try I paid the $10 house fee at the counter. The bar tender asked me to also buy her a $5 drink. She did the same thing to a guy who went back just before me. Irritating. Why don’t they just make the house fee $15? In the back the curtains over the booths provide decent privacy. They are somewhat translucent so you can see through them a bit from inside the booth, but you can’t see inside the booth from the main club area because it is darker inside the booth than the club. Once inside the booth, the dancer immediately started upselling for extras. She initially asked way too much, but after a little bit of discussion agreed to $140 for limited service (including dances). It was still a bit pricey, but she enthusiastically performed as agreed, and I was satisfied. She kept glancing over her shoulder through the curtain somewhat nervously, so it seems that not all services are necessarily approved by management. Overall, a decent visit, but nothing spectacular. The place had kind of a low energy vibe. The girls were average in looks and there were not many of them, but they seemed willing to please.
