Visit on 2/12/16

Taboo is about twenty minutes north of Charles Town, WV on Rt 9 just on the southern outskirts of Martinsburg. I stopped by on a Friday night around 2:00AM, and they stay open until 3AM. Normally, the club is filled on weekends, but it was only about a quarter full most likely due to the harsh winter weather that passed through.

When you enter (after id check and cover), there is the main stage in front of you, the bar and restroom off to the right, and the private dance rooms in the back right. The place is clean and I couldn’t smell any tobacco smoke there. I believe it is smoke free as of last year. The rail drinks are around $7-8; not overly expensive. The place isn’t posh, but it isn’t a dive either. There were about 10 dancers working that night. The dancers were mostly white with about 2 WOC. The body types were thin to average, but all were very attractive and on par or better with the best DC or B’more have to offer.

I took a seat at one of the many couches facing the main stage . The dancers seemed to spend most of their time with what seemed to be regular customers. One dancer spent her entire time on stage talking to a small group of men and women at one end of the stage. You tend to see a small number of women customers here in the club as well.
