0 for the " D "

Hey batter, batter, batter, swing... ok now that pitchers and catchers have reported, I have to give my less than stellar trip to the "D". Was excited about spending a couple of days/nights in Detroit in February and boy my hopes were shattered like that child who finds out who Santa Claus really is. My adventures start with an on time arrival to Metro Airport, car rental upgrade with Enterprise and a quick trip over the the FC right at 5:30, enough to see the daytime talent or should I say lack of talent, ok I have a couple of Modelo's feeling thirsty my friends and await the arrival of the night crew. What no lineup for the night time dancers??? What gives? I see not enough ladies to make it worth your while, one dancer followed by three songs and then again the pattern repeats, ok time to cut my loses. Drive down Telegraph to 8 Mile and make my way to the PC, surely that will be better, wrong! Valet, cover, two beers and I call it a night. 0 for 2 on Tuesday. Work goes ok the next day, but I am thinking what gives with the " D", girls staying in for the month. Like the true scoundrel I am, I make plans for day. Will try Players since I will be on the east side in the late afternoon, now Players is smaller than most, and the parking lot can be deceiving, so you think it will be crowded, and it was, but yikes the talent was dismal. Ok, calm down there sport, surely the PC has some better talent the next afternoon, make my way down 8 Mile and arrive at the PC, talent a little better, but not by much than the previous day. No one to my liking, so again make the trek down the"graph" and arrive at the FC...Honey is there, but been there and done that before, so I wait for anyone else that might lift my spirits and lighten my wallet. I wait for the entire rotation, boom nothing disappointment, Benjamin's stay in the wallet, check into hotel, decide I will see a movie, yes that screams LOSER..Saw 13 Hours : The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. Excellent movie, loved it. I will be back, never to be deterred from finding the diamond in the rough.
