Does not meet expectations.
I arrived to Lace on a late Saturday night about an hour before close. Building itself is stand alone with plenty of parking. Upon arrival, paid an Indian woman $10 cover. Noticed the Indian bouncer and Indian bar back. Now not to be prejudiced but clearly this place is under 'new' ownership; I honestly felt I was walking into the local Bombay Palace for dinner. Large bar and stage to your immediate left and then the massive 'showroom' to your right. Upon arrival I saw at least 6 girls; many engaged with other customers. Sat to the right by the main showroom floor that provides a great perch for first timers to assess the landscape. Literally a broadway-type stage is at the back and in front of that the catwalk. The dancers were frequent; seemed new one every 2 minutes. Cool smoke machine on the catwalk. All the talent was mediocre at best and ended up getting a back massage from the hottest girt there (isn't that the case all the time?) Ordered a bourbon for $10. Bar was packed. Saw some patrons eating food; even at this time. I did finally oblige to get a dance from a blonde spinner about a 6 that was simply her transition into asking for a VIP room. They do have an area for lap dances on these leather sofas. We chose to stay in our seats. I must admit that the 'cheesiest' parts of the club are the neon signs highlighting the different rooms/areas like 'Champagne Room' or 'VIP'. I'm certain that this place was the bomb back in the day, new ownership is trying to revive. because now the talent reflects the venue. I WILL go again however so as to gain more insight.
