Disappointing

Was travelling for work and stopped by on a Tuesday night to check this place out. Walked in and saw the square setup of the bar with the floor in the middle and thought, “ok, this is interesting.” I saw the girls on the floor and chuckled a bit and actually had to refrain from laughing because the dances were seriously half ass lol.

Anywho, as I settled in I bought a $4.50 12oz bottle of water lol. A couple of girls walked by, one explained to me the policy of tipping every girl as she walks around after I looked at her kind of confused. Whatever, I was still friendly about it and played along and gave a couple of girls $2 for shaking their ass when I couldn’t even see it because the view from the bar covered it. Silly policy I thought, but ok.

I got to talking to a nice, cute Russian girl that had approached me and just when I started to enjoy the conversation as I faced her sideways form the bar, I see in my peripheral vision another girl approach during her walk around and stare awkwardly at us for several seconds. I finally looked over and a haggard cracked out looking (not exaggerating on the looks here guys) Latina says impatiently “Are you going to tip me?” I said, “I’m having a conversation. “ Getting more impatient, she says “Well the rule is you have to tip here!” Kinda thinking WTF at this point as literally all she had done was show up and stare at me, I said “What am I tipping you for?” Call me crazy but I don’t fancy tipping a girl just for standing there, especially one that isn’t even remotely cute or friendly. Well she didn’t like that too much and starts bitching at me saying I’m paying for the show and “I no work for free” and just whatever. To my relief she walked off after her tirade but walked over to the bartender ( I assume, I wasn’t watching). The bartender comes over very shortly after and says, also not pleasantly, “Sir, we have a policy where you have to buy a drink, and –“ “Yeah I’ve got a drink right here, I already paid you $5 for a bottle of water.” I was holding it in my hand below the bar and she didn’t see it at the time. After I held it up she started to backpedal and apologize but by that time I was done. I told her they weren’t very friendly and left. The latina yelled at me as I left saying something like “yeah, get out of here!” Classy lol.

I don’t agree with the premise of a club where if I’m trying to have a conversation with one dancer that I’m supposed to at the same time just have a free hand with money because other girls act socially inept and interrupt conversation when they didn’t dance or do a damn thing except put their hand out. If you really want that tip earn it by walking around the bar and touching me in a friendly way or something during the conversation to make me feel welcome instead of standing there like an idiot. Ridiculous premise and a rude staff. Couldn’t pay me to go back.
