Candy Store

The Candy Store is just off a well traveled, well lit section of US-90, so no safety concerns going in. There is ample free parking outside in a well kept parking lot. Cover charge was $7. This is a typical blue-collar strip club. It’s not a dive, but it’s not a high-end club either. I would classify it as probably a little toward the lower end of mid-range clubs. There were probably less than half a dozen customers when I entered. A couple of guys were wearing a local steel workers union t-shirt, so that gives you an idea of the clientele.

It’s a fairly large club. The bar is immediately to the right upon entry. Across from the bar is large stage that probably takes up half the main club area. Immediately to the left upon entry is the lap dance area, which is just a well lit, open room lined with couches providing absolutely no privacy. To the right past the bar is another large room with a couple of pool tables.

There were about 9 dancers working when I stopped by at about 9:30 p.m. on a Wednesday. Like the physical facility, dancer quality is also mid-range. They ranged between 4 and 6, weighted more toward the 4 than the 6 end of the scale. Two were somewhat chunky AAs, one Latina, and the rest were white, some plump, some spinners.
