Clubhouse = Underground?

A few weeks ago I went by Vixens during the daytime. Entered the club and there was no-one! Nobody manning the door, nobody manning the bar, nobody on stage, no DJ in the corner, nothing. I stopped to use the men's room and when I came out the doorman had appeared and informed me that everything was now in the "Clubhouse." He indicated the stairs in the back of the club and I realized this was the access way to what used to be the "Underground." For all of you that remember the how awesome the Underground was don't get too excited yet. You can not access from the back entrance (a la speakeasy buzz system) and still have to go through Vixen's main club floor. The layout is still the same as it used to be (various game equipment and a TV over the bar showing the ponies), but the talent was lacking. I was there at noon and no-one really took the stage for >1 hour. When entertainers finally took the stage it was one dancer trying to show another the ropes (kind of awkward). Since I tipped they came by after their songs. The 'teacher' was friendly enough, but the novice kept complaining about how she preferred working at "Lust" in Martinsburg where she could dance to grunge music (she then also started babbling about being some sort of macabre poet). I got a fairly perfunctory dance from the 'teacher,' but nothing as fine as the Underground days. The one redeeming factor is that the bartender was pretty awesome and conversant and the kitchen is OPEN serving hot food (unfortunately no wings at this time which is double crappy since they actually have footage in the club saying how GREAT the wings are). The bathroom in the Clubhouse/Underground is still gross, so go upstairs if you have to go. The club feels odd being no-longer smokey and now being better lit. Same old upholstery tears in the champagne room. Who knows, maybe in a bit it will evolve/devolve back into the good ol' Underground. Not too many other patrons at the time, not too many dancers, not too much going on. The best part about this trip was the BLT; that's not a euphemism for anything other than a legit bacon/lettuce/tomato sandwich.
