Like many others have said, I would wait at one of the outer tables near the end of the dancer's cycle and scope out the talent - it also makes it easier to develop a rapport with the dancer. I think the major point with this club is that it can be overwhelming to the first timer, but by reading reviews on pages like this, it makes is MUCH more manageable. The key points are that the dancer selection here can't be beat, your mileage will vary depending on the dancer and the time. I haven't been during the afternoon, but I've heard extras can be had more easily at that point in time. Overall, Baby Dolls is by far the best choice of club in the Dallas Area.
