The wheel keeps on turning, but not much changes
Last Tuesday, I was looking for a little warmth on a cold February night. Sadly, I didn't find what I was looking for... Instead I got a lot of cold shoulders. As many have mentioned, the regulars own this place during the week. I have lost my frequent flier platinum status, and since my favorite flight attendant was not there that evening, I was stuck in coach. I hate flying coach, and frequently tried to get an upgrade, however I could only get on the waiting lists. This was disappointing, because a was willing to pay a full-price fare. I was hoping I could get my tray table in the locked and upright position, but i could only fly solo. I was there for an hour or two, and everyone was already occupied (or so they would say).
I don't know if the girls like to avoid guys who have/had a favorite (maybe trying to avoid a problem), but if the favorite isn't in I would hope we would be approachable. It seems like gentlemen who are "paired up with a dancer" are avoided by the other long-term girls. This is a drag for those of us who come on the "wrong" nights. I hate to leave the club with money in my wallet, but I couldn't give it away. Even tipping on stage couldn't pry a lady away from her plans that night. I guess business is so good that many of us gentlemen can walk home with the money we brought with us.
Oh well, maybe things will warm up come spring :-)
