Theme nights - hit or miss
Stopped by here a couple of weeks ago and it turned out to be their "Star Wars" theme night. I'm a Star Wars fan, so I thought it might be pretty cool to see some strippers in the Princess Leia gold bikini. The place was actually decorated pretty well - a lot of inflatable characters, posters and pictures on the walls, and the staff was generally into it. I think the DJ was in a homemade stromtrooper outfit that was on point. Even the waitresses were wearing themed outfits (Star Wars dresses or hats). I would say about half of the dancers really got into it - there were some phenomenal costumes, and they ranged from the obvious (Leia bikini, sexy Darth Vader) to some pretty random but cool ones (Boba Fett, etc). That was the good news.
The bad news is that none of the dancers seemed interested in private dances this night - I'm guessing the costumes were fairly time consuming to put back on, and they didn't want to deal with it. Since that's my #1 motivation for going to a strip club, this was a problem. After about an hour, talking with a few dancers (2 in costume and 1 who forgot it was a theme night), not one of them had asked about dances. I finally gave up and headed out.
I didn't know it was a theme night before I got there. Next time, I'm going to double check that it's not a theme night before I show up.
