I had never been to George's Cafe
I had never been to George's Cafe...drove by it a couple of times, but was always in a hurry, so I never thought to stop in. I had heard that it was under new management, and so I decided to drop in, and look things over. Its called Nikita's now, and its been freshly renovated. Plenty of parking in the lot across the street. I was very impressed by he inside: everything is new, clean and high quality. Hands down, this is the nicest club in all of Bridgeport. It has a large rectangular bar, small tables and a smallish stage. There was no cover when I visited, and I suspect hat this will be he norm for a while.
As nice as the place looks, the club is just too quiet and boring. When I visited, here must have been 5 girls; none of them were spectacular. One was overweight, and the others were just a little older than I would like. Ii'm not saying that they were terrible, and some guys migt be okay with the selection, but they weren't for me. One of the girls told me that he club is owned by he same people who own Pleasant's, and that the girls are required to work there one day a week. This would be fine, because I've seen some very attractive girls at Pleasant's, but none of them were here. If he owners spent a liitle time thinking about organizing a more varied roster, it would go a long way towards making this a more active club. As it stood, there were only two customrs in the place, including me.
Club just seemed dead. There was no music playing for much of my time there, and when it came on, it was deafeningly loud. No one was on stage for most of the time, and when one dancer got on, her moves really weren't particularly fetching. Bartender was young, thin and hot, but she seemed tired, and so I didn't try to start up some banter with her.
