Disappointed in the Desert

Tried Sahara on a weekday afternoon, some 3 years after my last visit. Physically, not much has changed except better (& more private) dance areas and VIP rooms: still a central stage with seats on 3 sides that dominates a small room; benches and tables along 2 sides, murky lights and muddy sound. Thought I'd hit the jackpot when door girl told me 16 girls on the floor -- a shitload for a weekday afternoon. I think $10 admission plus $5 drink (or around that): nothing crazy. No rude staff, 2-drink rule, etc., that bugged me about this place in the distant past. So that was good. Dances $15 topless, $30 nude; $100 & $150 VIPs. Songs seemed pretty standard length, probably 2:30+ average. Bathroom clean. So this is all looking good for return visit. But then the girls start getting on stage... Whew, there were a lot of chubby white & Latina girls that really need to look into other careers. Pretty listless stage dances, very half-assed sales work on the floor ("Wanna dance, wanna dance....") Synn club owners (who run this place) need to take a page from the Rhino/Jet Strip book and have management or a successful dancer teach their girls some tricks re better service. Saw a couple of familiar old pros that could probably do the trick: long-timer hard-body Nikki (now dark-haired) who didn't remember our dances years ago but who is a savvy pro with good customer service skills (but who is a little too lean and a little too low mileage for my taste, though a quality dance can be had for a price); or Flamingo Theater alum Lisa (thick Latina with a sly smile, great attitude and good skills). Also saw Flamingo alum Charlie, a beautiful face & body Romanian with glasses and good conversation skills, but a very high price and a history of disappointing me. Saw only 2 other toned body semi-lookers: a blonde who never got on stage, did 2 VIPs and then left at 3 PM before I could snag her; and a brunette probably Latina who disappeared after one sighting. Rest of the porkers didn't appeal to me so I left after 3-fer-$30 specials with Nikki and Lisa. Disappointing day; but may try again and hope for better pickings.
