A big step down

When the Wild Cherry was located out of the city was kind of a pain in the ass to get to, but at least you knew if you made the trip the club was really nice and the talent was usually good enough to make the trip worthwhile. Unfortunately, their move to Huntsville has made things worse in almost every way. The club, a revamped Showcase, is not nearly as posh as the Wild Cherry was. When I arrived mid-afternoon, there were only about 3 or 4 dancers present, and all but one of them were 5's or below. As soon as I arrived, one dancer started chatting me up, but I wasn't particularly interested. Eventually, after I declined to buy her a drink, she started to get the idea and eventually moved off. There was another dancer who I recognized from the Wild Cherry who I found attractive, and after I tipped her at the stage she came to sit with me. But she immediately hit me up for a drink, and I guess since I was still kind of annoyed from the last dancer, I somewhat hastily said no, and she took that as a signal I wasn't interested and immediately ignored me. After a few more minutes I decided to cut my losses and head over to Visions. I don't know if I would make much of an effort to go back to the Cherry after this bad visit. Few dancers, crappy club, and too much hustle. The only thing it has going for it is that it is next to Visions, so if things suck, you can try to hedge your losses by walking next door.
