Low Key, but not bad

I found Minx on a Thursday night at about 9:30. It's pretty easy to spot, with a lot of pink neon on the outside of the building. Parking lot has ample free parking. Cover was $10, which seems to be the same everywhere in Des Moines.

When you walk in, you see two stages, the larger main stage to your right and a slightly smaller satellite stage to the left. On this Thursday night, there was a dancer on each stage. There are also six flat screens around the room, two showing porn and the others showing sports. The club is byob, but there are machines selling soft drinks. There are seats around the rail of each stage and about a dozen or so small tables arranged around the stages.

The girls varied in looks. Most were decent looking, a couple were really attractive and a couple really weren't. But there seemed to be something for everyone. The club has a small club, laid back vibe. It's carpeted throughout and the music doesn't blast you out. And the girls are almost all very friendly. The will frequently come by and sit with you to ask if you wanted a dance, but almost every one of them was a pleasant conversationalist and most did not overstay their welcome. Of course, there was one or two exceptions, but I was very impressed by how friendly they were. A couple of them even offered to go get me another girl if I saw someone I liked. I did not get a dance this night, but I think almost every dancer came by at some point in the evening. On the main stage, a new rule was implemented that they can't wear panties on stage. Some had other robes or dresses on, but no panties underneath. At least one dancer just walked out naked.
