Visited: Saturday Evening

Stopped by early on a Saturday evening. After 15 minutes, I was prepared to declare this place totally, literally (more on that in a sec) lame. In the next 15 minutes, however, my opinion changed completely.

I arrived a few minutes before 8:00 pm. All of but a couple of the parking spaces had orange cones blocking them and there was a valet sign at the corner of the building, but no valet in sight, so I parked in one of the few open spaces and went in. I wasn’t charged a cover, which I thought was odd because most places start charging around 7:00. Upon entry, I found out why. The place was basically dead. The club is medium size, not too small, but not large either. The bar is directly across from the entry door. To the left is a large runway stage that wasn’t used while I was there. To the right is a smaller island stage, which was being used. Overall, the facilities look nice, but not upscale--just a solid, mid-level place.

There was no one at any of the tables. Four customers were sitting at the bar, two older PLs, one slightly younger looking guy, and one guy who had a striking resemblance to Snoop Dogg. The bartender, a short, curvy AA girl, was talking to the two older PLs. She continued to talk to them as I walked in and stood at the side of the bar. She must have seen me walk in because the bar is directly across from the entrance and the place was dead, but she ignored me as she continued to talk for close to another 5 minutes. I was getting ready to just turn around and walk out when she finally turned around and either noticed me or pretended like she just noticed me, and I found out a domestic beer was $5.
