Classy and Sexy.
This was my first trip to The Lodge and since business occasionally is going to bring me here it won’t be my last. I arrived around 8:00 on a Wednesday and I chose to not use the valet parking and parked across the street in a lot that was marked as being for the Lodge. However there was a smaller sign that said for employees only. I had no sooner got out of the car and when a security guard asked me to move. So, remember, use the other lot.
The cover was $10.00. My first thought upon walking into the club was that it reminded me of a Rain Forest Café, though it was more of a hunting lodge theme and not cheesy. Note this place is more like a fancy restaurant then the more common sports club theme. The club is basically two rooms and a second floor; the second floor is the VIP area. After paying the cover you enter the first room right next to the bar. While ordering a beer ($4.50, happy hour pricing?) I surveyed the room. The main stage was across the room and I noted a couple of small satellite stages that were used somewhat intermittently during the night. Next to the bar was a table where they seemed to be having some sort of poker tournament. Next to this table were two entrances to the second room. This room was called the library and seemed even more upscale and had its own small stage. The downside to this setup is that there is nowhere to sit and watch the entire club and dancers. I also noted that there didn’t really appear to be tip rail seating and I noticed very little tipping at the stage. On the main stage they danced topless only and with little enthusiasm. I guess that you don’t tip in this club and you just get lap dances ($20, topless). These were done at tables and chairs around the outside of the club. There is not a lot of privacy but that does not stop a generous amount of two way contact. One dancer told me that VIP was $500 to enter (bottle service) and $500 per hour for the dancer of your choice. She didn’t seem interested in this since it was implied that extras were occurring for that cost. I didn’t pursue this so I cannot comment.
The dancers here were consistently attractive and tended to dress sexy rather than trashy. While the dancers were most white there were a few AA, Latina, and Asian dancers to add a little variety.
