Fool me once

Went to Rick's, a long time favorite of mine. The physical club and atmosphere hasn't changed all that much. Still a professional door staff, who make you feel welcome and a nice selection of dancers of all shapes and sizes. The women are typically not very pushy, which is one reason I like the club, but On this trip, I was approached by a few dancers and settled in on one that I had met, but not enjoyed much time with in the past. After a few drinks we decided to head up to the VIP. So far, so good. Once we got into the VIP, however, the Rick's Cabaret dancer sales incentive program took over and things went straight downhill. After 5 minutes of chit chat waiting for the waitress, she finally arrived. I had brought a full drink up with me from the floor, as did the dancer. While we were checking into the room, though, my dancer friend left the drink at the check in station, saying she wanted to try "something different." Kiss that $30 drink goodbye. Glad I could help. So then the waitress came in, and my VIP dancer said what she really wanted was some champagne. I said I wasn't going to drink any. Doesn't matter, she wanted some. So $200 and another 15 minutes later, the waitress interrupts us again, happily carrying a small bottle of some horrible COSTCO champagne. My dancer friend was mesmerized while the cork popped out, and then proceeded to drink almost none of it. To cap things off, another 10 minutes later, back comes the waitress, this time with strawberries. "They come with the champagne" she chirped happily. By this time, nearly 30 minutes into the VIP experience, I was ready to call it a night and head over to the Penthouse Club, where the VIP is the VIP, even if they kill you on the price, and the dancers understand that happy guys tip well. That memo doesn't seem to have made it to this particular dancer. I'll still stop by Rick's another time, but will perform more due diligence before heading upstairs.
