A great neighborhood place
I stopped in at Louie's on Tuesday afternoon about 2:30ish after lunch. I was in the mood for a quiet beer and I've never been to this place, although I've passed it many times. Its very unassuming both inside and out. When I came in, the barmaid greeted me and had my beer ready quickly. There are a few tables and some VLTs. The restroom was clean. I sat at the bat along with about 8 other people around a long oval bar. After a few minutes one of the dancers introduced herself and gave the particulars of the place after I told her I was a newbie. She was really nice and genuine. After her dance I asked about the cost and she said that she was happy with whatever I though it was worth. I gave her 20 We talked for quite a bit after and she excused herself to make the rounds of the bar. Several other girls stopped by occaisionally and said hi and asked for a dance. I got one more and never felt pressured or emabarrassed by any of the girls I said no to. There were lots of regulars there and I assume it survives on the daily local crowd from the park behind and the area. Its a good friendly joint that I will return to.
