I hadn’t been been here since the summer. When I arrived around 7:45 Saturday night, the club was reasonably full. Three dancers on the stage, and only a few more circulating, two of whom had far too much of everything except bruises from ten-foot poles. Anthony’s has a history of up and down cycles, and I thought we might be in the throes of the latter. Happily, more attractive talent, including several stunners, appeared soon. I got good Massachusetts dances (which are the equivalent of bad Rhode Island dances) from Lynette, Avery, and Devon, all three of whom also brought personality and humor to their work. There was a happy vibe to the club that night.

There were a number of couples present, and an interesting little drama going on, in which one of the dancers was trying to seduce a couple of female customers there with male dates. The girl friend of one of the customers stormed out in anger; the other girls were clearly intrigued. One has to wonder how that ended...

The same problems that I and others have mentioned continue: the impossibly heavy chairs at the tip rail, the overcrowded LD area, the habit of some girls to natter with their friends (or boyfriends) when there are paying customers seeking attention, knock a couple of points off the score. But it was a pretty good evening.
