Players Club

Players Club is located in low-end commercial area. It’s on a major, well-traveled and well lit highway, so I didn’t have any safety concerns, although Google indicated there had been a shooting outside this club in September. The exterior of the club looks a little worn, but it’s not dilapidated looking. Cover charge was $5. The place looks a little more run down on the inside, but its not terrible. I’m not sure I would call it a dive, but it’s definitely on the lower end of mid-range. It has a very low ceiling, probably not more than 9 feet high. The place is small. Upon entry, most of the space to the right is taken up a U-shaped bar. There are three stages, one on the left wall, and two running along the back wall. As expected early on a Tueday evening, there was a light crowd, maybe a couple of dozen guys, with a pretty wide age range from young twentyish guys to late middle-age. All looked white or Hispanic. There were maybe a dozen dancers. I saw two blacks, three whites, and the rest were Latinas. A couple of the Latinas were pretty thick (which is not my preference), and one of the white girls was a real knockout, easily a 9 if not a 10. The rest were probably in the 5 to 6 range, maybe a 7 or two. Despite the low number of dancers, all three of the stages were in use, so the girls rotated through them pretty quickly. Domestic beer at the bar was a pricey $7. A couple of dancers stopped to chat, but I wasn’t interested and they left quickly after they figured that out. After a while the knockout white girl stopped by. She said she had moved to Denver within the week and this was her first day, although she had obviously danced before. She asked for a private dance at $25. I had seen her on stage and tipped her, and her stage routine was pretty lackluster. I told her I would think about it and asked her to come back, but she never did. I probably should have taken her up on the offer because the DJ was playing pretty long songs (apparently to keep three stages busy with a small number of girls), and she was really good looking. But that’s OK, I just wanted to stop by and check the place out. I finished my beer and took off. Overall, not a bad place and probably worth a visit. A low end club for sure. Not exactly a dive, but close. The drinks are pricey, particularly for a low-end place, but not completely outrageous for a strip club. Not a lot of girls, but a good variety, and most guys are likely to see something they like.
