Consistent quality
Sugar's is a good club for lunch or drinks after work. They usually have some happy hour specials going on and at least the main stage is active. Due to draconian local laws, the dancers have to wear pasties, which is a bit of a bummer, but not the fault of the club.
I went on a Monday as a break between work and a gig I had in the evening. Cover was $5 and the specials were $3.75 domestic bottles, so I grabbed a couple of beers at a table near the stage. The waitressing was responsive and I don't think there was more than a 5 minute wait between waitresses checking to be sure I was taken care of. It was a little dead, but dancers were doing two dances on main stage before rotating for another two on a side stage near the bar. I approached the stage for a dancer that I liked, and later she came by to ask me if I wanted a dance. Got two good contact dances from her in a back booth with pretty good privacyand was up for a third before I left for my gig, but she had to go. The only damper on an enjoyable evening.
