HI PHX

I finally made it to the infamous Hiliter. I was traveling through Phoenix and was able to visit a few clubs. Based on reviews here I put the Hiliter high on my list of places to go. This review is a compilation of two trips to the club. One on Saturday night and one on Sunday day shift.

The club lay out has been described elsewhere so I will avoid great detail here and just throw out a few impressions. I had no real concerns about the neighborhood and was able to park in the clubs lot. Walk on in and pay a reasonable cover. I ordered a Coke for $4. The place is a bit worn but not quite a dive. I noticed the chairs looking a little threadbare and I shudder to think what the floor would look like if they ever turned up the lights. There was a VIP area that contained around 6 booths for dances screened from the main floor.

Saturday night was crowded when I went in. One needed to be quick if you wanted to sit at a table. I finally nabbed a seat and watched the stage for a short time. There seemed to be 20 or so girls working but none stopped by to chat. I don't think they were unfriendly, everyone seemed busy in VIP or grinding on customers laps along the wall. A petite blonde on stage peaked my interest. I tipped her on stage and she took the hint to come over after her set. We chatted for a bit and then I tried a couple of $10 dances at my table. I liked how things were going so we adjourned to the VIP. Contact was fully two way. While she may not have gone the extra mile she certainly knows how to rub a man the right way and had no complaints about me reciprocating.
