Gold Club

I was told by several dancers at other clubs that the Gold Club is the best strip club in Jacksonville. Well, that just proves what is “best” is in the eye of the beholder, and that dancers and customers probably view what is best differently, although there is no doubt that the Gold Club is in fact a very nice strip club. It is in kind of a strange location, down a twisty road behind some car dealerships and backed up against the Jacksonville executive airport. The parking lot has seen some better days as it is rutted and looks like it has not seen a resurfacing in decades. The cover was $5. The building itself looks like an old mansion. It took me a little while to figure it out, but it is pretty clearly a conversion from one of those military aviation themed restaurants which were popular in the 80s or 90s. They were always located next to an airport and styled to look like wartime officers clubs, complete with faux bomb marks etc., with windows looking out over the runway to complete the aviation theme. They would also have a dining room on one side and a lounge dance area on the other, which is exactly what this place has. The bar and stripper stage is in a room to the left as you go in. The restaurant is in another room to the right, and I am told the food is pretty good. The lap dance area is in a third room past the restaurant. Like the parking lot (whose ruts were real, not fake war damage), the building has seen better days and looks a little worn, but overall was in decent shape. I would not call it run down, just not in top notch shape. The crowd is mostly white and spans a pretty big age range, from young twentyish guys to your typical middle age PLs, but the crowd seems mostly middle class or working class, not a true upscale type crowd you will see at a real high end strip club. The dancer quality here is quite good, probably in the 6-8 range, weighted toward the 8s, maybe a 9 or two. Milfs with fake boobs seem to be pretty popular here, but there are also a good number of younger natural girls here as well. Tattoos are pretty popular with the girls here also, which is another thing that is often limited at true high-end clubs. Most of the girls dance topless on stage after a few tips, a few would not take their tops off even after a good number of tips. Most would show appreciation for a tip in the typical stripper fashion, i.e., wrapping legs around you, or rubbing boobs in your face, or both. Lap dances are $30, although you can easily get two for $50 from some girls. I sampled a bit and found overall dance quality to be good, with plenty of grinding and two way contact. The girls I got dances with didn’t mind a little nipple sucking, but some moved my hands away when my hands got close to the crotch, others didn’t mind and even flashed a little kitty. Some of the girls pushed for VIP, some quite hard, but I don’t remember what the asking price was. I seem to recall one girl mentioning $250 and another $400, so I’m sure like most places it depends on the girl and how much she thinks she can squeeze out of you. I don’t know if extras are available here or not, but the layout of the lap dance area (open booths) is not conducive, although that is not necessarily determinative, and I assume the VIP offers more privacy. Overall, it’s a decent place with generally good looking girls, and decent dances are available. It’s worth a visit, but I’m not sure why it has the reputation as the best club in Jacksonville.
