Off The Beaten Path
Where to begin... First of all, I don't frequent strip clubs very often so take that into consideration as you read on. Before going to Las Vegas, I read lots of reviews on various sites about the many different strip clubs in that city. I'd made up my mind to hit a couple of them on my most recent trip (Dec 2015) and wanted to make an informed choice about where to go. What I saw about Talk Of The Town made me curious enough to check it out. This is what my experience was like:
Location - TOTT is on the Strip, north of Stratosphere. Not much else around it. If you walk from Stratosphere, it is through a dark and questionable part of town. The Deuce has a stop not too far south from TOTT so I would suggest either taking that, or getting a cab, if you don't have a car or are squeamish about walking through a sketchy part of town. I actually walked there from SLS. Nothing bad happened, and I never really felt like I was ever in any danger but I probably won't do it again.
The Club - Once there, you enter the club through a seedy-looking sex shop. I knew all of this ahead of time, so I wasn't surprised. It would throw the standard strip-club patron, though. The desk clerk saw me and immediately asked if I was there for the strip club. When I replied "Yes", he said it was a $20 cover that I then paid to him. Once that transaction occurred, he led me into the back where the VERY small club is. It had a stage that was only about 7'x7' with 8 chairs at the rail, approximately 20 chairs about 5' from the rail and 8 'couches' that are actually the size of love seats along the walls of the club. There is a small bar that serves bottled water and soft drinks (I only had a water that was included with the cover charge). This is also where you break large bills for singles for tipping. There are a couple of rooms just down the hall from the main floor that are used for private dances. Also, there is allegedly a "peep show" room in one corner of the club that you can use as you'd expect. I never even got near that area of the club so I can't comment on that feature.
