Friday evening, still pretty early and arrival occurred during a lull between shifts-a handful of dancers were on hand, but obviously not nearly as many as you'll encounter past 10:00 or even 11:00. Club itself is exactly the same, so my description will stay brief. Big lot behind the building, parking no problem as always, club is the same decor and vibe as it has always been-no changes. It isn't sleazy, but not pimped out or anything, either. Two stages (one main, one less-used smaller and across the room from main stage) with ample seating throughout. Usual $20 cover and bottomless drinks, although the waitresses were sparse and slow this evening. No biggee- bottomless soda and water isn't why we bother coming to these clubs, right?

Decent selection of girls, a few hot, most pretty average, to be honest. Some familiar dancers who are seemingly always prancing about the chairs, and several newer dancers from within the last few months, I surmise. Got sets of couch dances from three different newbies, and they were more or less pretty decent..good grinding, decent touching, nothing too risque. Decided to try the VIP area for half an hour with a cute dancer that seemed up to the task, and then the night got weird and disappointing. To summarize the next half hour, encountered an unwillingness on the part of the dancer to actually DANCE. She just wanted to talk and talk and talk and NEVER initiated ANY contact or steered the conversation toward her grinding on my boner. Hey, a bit of conversation is perfectly fine, but it should be no secret for anyone least of all a dancer to figure out why a guy pays an outrageous amount of money on a side room with slightly more privacy. My efforts to get dances in the room were strangely to no avail, and ultimately I sensed that the clock was hitting the end. At that point I asked the dancer whether any lapdances were in the offing, and she acted surprised that a paying customer would actually desire such a thing. As I mentioned, it was very weird. I felt TOTALLY ripped off and cheated (even more ripped off than we gentlemen typically are when we patronize a club lol), and exited for the night pretty bummed at how it played out. Knew I would never get even a partial refund on this scam of a half hour, so just cut my losses, consider it a lesson learned, and didn't stage a protest to management.

I prefer not to mention the dancer that wasted my time and money by name here, but encourage my fellow strip club fans to be wary and alert and not get fucked over. I don't feel stupid, strangely, because I really had no idea this lame event was going to happen. No warning at all-just got played after it was too late and my hard-earned cash had been pocketed by the club. I have already been to a different club since (review forthcoming), and probably will stay away from the Lake City Vu for the time being.
