Probably just for locals

Came in just before midnight for a peek at some of the alternate venues near HK. This place is a bar. None of the features of a strip club, not obviously a brothel (though similar business model as many of the "bars" in the area), and I saw zero gringos during my short time inside. I had looked down from Hotel Cascadas across the street and noticed construction being done on Hotel Rizo de Oro (above Tropical). When coming into Tropical and turning down the left you can find the bathrooms. Looked as though some of the dry wall was new and there were even tarps along a few of the walls. I took care not to step in any nails as they might have been open for business during some minor renovations.

So in my short time here I did not see any super attractive chicas. Not hideous, just not alluring. None of the customers were American. It seemed like Tropical was either a launching pad for the evening, or a watering hole for locals. Since the hotel above was being torn up and none of the girls appealed to me, I moved on. Still, I'm sure value could be had here for those with the language skills and the patience to separate the wheat from the chaff.
