Diamond in the rough. It's really rough though.

On the south side of the alley behind Hong Kong, Cascadas, Chavelas, and other good/clean venues resides Gold Bar (that's what the dancers and maseros called the place when I asked). It's a bit rundown, a touch dingy, but some of the girls looked ok and the beer was cheap. Two XX ran me $3.25 and the fichas drinks were in the neighborhood or $6 if i recall correctly.

The modest space was fairly vacant when i dropped in. 1 girl was dancing at all times, which earned this place a higher score than Chicago Club (which I hit up on the same night). Other reviews mentioned certain services that could be had onsite (but I did not recall that it was for this club due to the aforementioned naming discrepency). This was never offered to me. The waiter kept pushing for a visit to their hotel; I passed the scary entrance to said hotel on the way in which added to my reluctance.

Of the 6 or so chicas working there were 2 or so ok looking ones. Bought both a drink. One regaled me with the tale of how her arm tattoo is in memory of her son who would have been 2 had he not died 6 months ago. The other performed some moderate pole tricks but was neither handsy nor personable up close.
