Odd Place

I stopped by The Lodge while on a business trip to Dallas. Odd experience. I felt like I was in a large, fancy restaurant with almost no diners and a handful of scantily clad hostesses. The place is huge, several rooms a couple of bars. I saw roughly 8 dancers and fewer than 20 customers. In fairness, I did not see the VIP area upstairs -- I was told it was members only and I had no interest in buying a $500 membership for the night. While I was there for an hour, I saw only one dancer on the main stage. I'm sure the club is busier later in the week and later at night. A very pretty woman with short blond hair latched on. She seemed extraordinarily young -- behaved like a little girl and mentioned god's plan for her several times. It made me feel far more like a father than anyone ought to feel in a gentleman's club. I bought her a drink and was quite surprised that a $20 bill didn't cover it.
