More of a Dance Performance Club...?

I did not know that this place was considered a strip club until I saw it here on TUSCL. I was here a little while back while on a layover in Dubai. My friend and I were traveling back from a friends' wedding in India and his friend, the man who hosted us and gave us a place to stay, brought us here with his Hong Kongese friend to drink and laugh and have a good time.

This is basically just a bar with a full-size stage up against the wall and girls take turns dancing for cash. They are not nude, as nudity and pornography are strictly prohibited in this Muslim country, so they dance in form fitting club wear. Guys close to the stage would throw Dirhams (the local currency) and the girls would given them attention like look at them and give them an air dance from the stage, but no physical touching. It was honestly the weirdest "strip club" experience I've ever had.

I ended up just having drinks here (you can drink in Dubai if you have a foreign passport) and laughing with the people who had brought us here away from the stage. The women dancing on stage were dancing to Indian, Asian, and Middle Eastern big beat electronic dance music. There were more Asians than I expected in the line-up, particularly Philipinos, no Indians, some Middle Eastern women (likely all foreign passport holders), and a decent amount of white, Eastern European and Russian women. They were all pretty, some where hot, but there were no stunners. I put no money on the stage for anyone, as the people who were putting money were wealthy Middle Easterner men and Asians. And holy shit, they were putting a LOT of money on stage. And that made this thing seem even more confusing.
